It was really exciting to see how the topic ‘About time’ shaped up during the three Dublin days – from the first medieval and early modern panel which looked at concepts like ‘Gnadenzeit’ via ‘polychronistic’ narration in modern fiction to the final papers looking at dealings with time as recent as Haneke’s “71 Fragmente einer Chronologie des Zufalls”. Watch out for the next ‘Germanistik in Irland’ which will document selected papers from the conference.

Yes, definitely well done! Thanks to the organisers in Leeds and to all who provided such thought-provoking papers. I was particularly impressed by the high standard of presentations by PhD-students. Looking forward to learning more about those topics in the next round of conferences.
