This year at the WiGS annual member’s conference, the theme of the Postgraduate Workshop will be: ‘Working with Visual Culture and Displaying Visual Culture’. This event will focus particularly on how one can curate exhibitions related to one’s own research.
We would like to begin the workshop with a session that gives postgraduate students a chance to present a piece of visual culture or an object connected to their research before a panel of experts, including Professor Janet Stewart. The panel will then respond to the presentation and the audience will be invited to join in the discussion. The papers do not have to be formal and they will provide a fantastic opportunity for those seeking to learn tips on how to build an outreach strategy and increase the potential impact of their research.
If you would like to present at this show-and-tell/work-in-progress part of the workshop, please send expressions of interest to Cyd Sturgess (firstname.lastname@example.org) before Oct 5.
